RIW Cementseal Primer

RIW Cementseal Primer is a purpose-formulated preparatory primer designed for use as part of the RIW Cementseal and Cementflex waterproofing systems. It is an essential component of the system rather than an optional addition, required on all horizontal applications and on any porous surfaces before the main waterproofing coat is applied.

By consolidating and preparing the substrate, Cementseal Primer ensures optimum adhesion of the overlying Cementseal or Cementflex coating, contributing to a seamless, fully bonded and reliable waterproof membrane. Its use is particularly important in below-ground and ground-level applications where surface conditions can vary significantly

Good to know

• Supplied ready to use and should not be diluted
• Surfaces should be clean and contaminant free
• Do not apply below 5°C
• should be poured onto the surface and spread o a coverage rate of 5-7m² using a suitable brush or roller
• Allow material to become transparent before continuing, this usually takes 30-90 minutes
• If the primer is not over coated within 24hrs then it must be removedproperly before re-application
