Description

Powerlon UltraPerm Lite is a 92gsm thermally bonded composite breather membrane comprising two layers of non-woven polypropylene with a microporous film between them. This construction provides exceptional water vapour permeability, allowing moisture to escape from within the building structure, while the hydrophobic outer surface repels wind-driven rain and moisture ingress. Good UV stability allows the membrane to remain unprotected for up to two months during installation, though best practice is to install tiles or slates as soon as possible.

BBA and CE certified for use in all pitched roof types including warm and cold, supported and unsupported, ventilated and unventilated roofs, and for timber frame wall applications. Fully tested to BS 5534:2014+A2:2018 for wind zones 1-5. W1 water resistance rating. Each roll is supplied with detailed installation instructions and a colour-coded geographical suitability guide per wind zone to help specify the correct grade for the location and exposure. Pre-printed marking lines for roof pitch and overlaps are included for both supported and unsupported roof applications, making installation quicker and more accurate on site. Use Powerbond Acrylic Tape to seal overlaps. Install with the printed side facing outwards.

At 92gsm, UltraPerm Lite is the lightest and most economical grade in the range, easy to handle on site and well suited to more sheltered locations and lower wind zones. Note that at a 345mm batten gauge its BS 5534 suitability reduces to Zone 1, so consult the geographical suitability guide to confirm the correct grade for the exposure. For higher specifications refer to UltraPerm Standard, Premium and Max.
