Description
Description
Fosroc Concure WB is a low viscosity wax emulsion supplied as a white liquid which dries to a clear film. When spray applied to fresh concrete, the emulsion breaks on contact with the surface to form a continuous, non-penetrating coating which dries clear. This film acts as a physical barrier to moisture loss, ensuring more efficient cement hydration and producing a harder, more durable surface with reduced permeability and lower risk of surface cracking and shrinkage.
It is suitable for all general concreting applications and of particular benefit on large area surfaces such as roads, runways and bridgeworks. It can also be applied to newly hardened concrete immediately after demoulding, provided the surface is damp, dry surfaces may prevent correct film formation and cause staining.
Typical applications include, curing of fresh in-situ concrete slabs, roads, runways and bridgeworks and post-demould curing of precast concrete surfaces
Benefits
- Complies with ASTM C309 and AASHTO M148 Type 1
- Spray applied therefore reduces labour costs
- Water-based, non-flammable
- Forms a continuous clear film on drying
- Reduces permeability, surface cracking and shrinkage
Good to know
- The film must not be walked on before it is fully dry, and the surface must not be disturbed until it has sufficient strength to bear loads.
- Concure WB must be removed before any subsequent coating is applied to ensure a good bond to the concrete.
- Do not apply if bleed water is present on the surface
- Coverage rate: 3.5–5.0 m² per litre
- Must be removed before overcoating, use high-pressure steam, water jet or light sand blasting
- Minimum application temperature: +5°C
