Sika Black Jack 908 D.P.M.

Everbuild Black Jack 908 DPM is a rubber-enriched bitumen emulsion that provides a highly effective, ready-to-use damp proof membrane for a wide range of construction applications. The rubber enrichment provides improved flexibility and adhesion compared to standard bitumen emulsions. Primary uses include waterproofing bridge abutments, retaining walls, culverts, and concrete or brick foundations; as a DPC substitute in internal remedial damp-proofing; as an adhesive and bonding aid for wood block and mosaic flooring; and as a concrete curing agent. Water-based formula for low hazard, low odour use, clean tools with water.

Good to know

• Apply to clean, sound surfaces free from dust, loose material and grease
  
• For DPC applications, use in conjunction with a physical DPC and consult a specialist if rising damp is severe
  
• For wood block flooring: apply to partially dry state before placing blocks; allow 30–40 minutes depending on conditions
  
• Do not apply when rain is imminent, allow adequate drying time between coats
  
• Do not apply in freezing conditions, water-based emulsion will be destroyed by frost
  
• For plaster over DPM application: leave a 300mm uncoated horizontal strip at the top of the wall to allow trapped moisture to escape
