Sika Damp Proofing Slurry is a one-part polymer-modified cement-based waterproof coating for internal and external damp-proofing and waterproofing of concrete, render, brickwork and blockwork. Simply add water to produce a slurry or mortar consistency to suit your chosen application method — brush, trowel or spray. BBA approved and conforming to BS 8102:2022 as a Type A coating for shallow basement structures Grades 1, 2 and 3. Supplied in 25kg bags.

Description

Sika Damp Proofing Slurry is a low-odour, easy-to-use alternative to bitumen-based coatings for below-ground waterproofing. The powder is mixed with water only, with the water-to-powder ratio adjusted to achieve slurry consistency for brush application or a stiffer mortar for trowel application. It is applied in two coats, with the second coat applied at 90° to the first. One 25kg bag covers approximately 6.5–7.0m² at 2mm thickness.

Good to know

Use a paddle mixer or drill with paddle attachment to mix, do not use a concrete mixer
Pot life approximately 30 minutes at 20°C
For damp-proofing, a minimum total thickness of 2mm is required
For full waterproofing, a minimum total thickness of 4mm is required.
