Visqueen Zedex Non-Combustible DPC Cavity Tray

Visqueen Zedex Non-Combustible DPC Cavity Tray is designed for cavity wall constructions with a structural framing system inner leaf and masonry outer leaf, in residential, commercial and multi-storey buildings. It is the required product where Building Regulations mandate a non-combustible DPC cavity tray. Note that this requirement does not apply where the DPC cavity tray is used between two leaves of masonry.

The DPC can be used as a vertical DPC or as a built-in or surface fixed cavity tray. All laps must be 100mm and sealed with Visqueen Zedex Mastic. Unless formed over a permanent rigid supporting substrate, a Visqueen DPC Joint Support must be placed directly beneath each lap to ensure long-term lap integrity.

Good to know

• The red surface must always face upwards or outwards towards the direction of moisture penetration.
• When built into the outer leaf, the DPC should be installed on an even bed of fresh mortar, perforations in adjacent masonry courses must be completely filled with mortar, and at least one further course of masonry with a fresh bed of mortar should be laid as soon as possible after laying the DPC.
• The DPC must extend through the full thickness of the masonry wall including pointing, applied rendering and other facing materials
