Bat Ridge Roost

Manthorpe Bat Ridge Roost is a self-contained, externally mounted unit providing a habitable roost space for small crevice-dwelling bat species found in the UK. Bats and their roosts are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, and planning authorities increasingly require bat roost provision as a condition of planning consent on new build and refurbishment projects.

The Bat Ridge Roost is specifically designed to provide a compliant roosting solution without compromising the building envelope. The self-contained external unit offers no means of access for bats to enter the roofspace or the property, addressing a common concern with alternative roosting solutions. The unit is optimised to work in conjunction with the Manthorpe SmartVerge Polypropylene handed and ambidextrous dry verge system, making it straightforward to incorporate into new build pitched roof constructions. Suitable for new build and retrofit installations.
