Sika MaxMix Concentrated Mortar Tone

Concentrated Mortar Tone is supplied in a dosing bottle that allows an accurate, repeatable measure to be taken for each mix, removing the guesswork and inconsistency associated with loose powder pigments. The liquid disperses quickly and evenly through the mix, producing a consistent shade across successive batches on the same elevation.

Because the formulation is concentrated, a range of colour depths can be achieved from a single product simply by varying the dosage. One litre will colour up to 400kg of mortar at the standard rate, making it economical on larger runs of brickwork and pointing.

The product also contains a plasticiser, which improves workability and trowelability, reduces bleeding and segregation in the wet mix, and inhibits efflorescence in the cured mortar. Typical applications include mortars, renders and screeds, pointing mortars, and colouring cement based tile grouts.

• Four colours available: black, brown, red and yellow, each a separate variant with its own Declaration of Performance
• Standard dosage is 25ml per 10kg of mortar, with higher or lower rates giving deeper or lighter shades
• Trial mixes are advisable where colour matching to existing work is required, as final shade is affected by cement type, sand and water content
• Stronger than Everbuild 209 Liquid Mortar Tone, which is supplied at standard concentration in 5 litre containers
• Product will crystallise if frozen, but this is reversible on warming
• Clean tools with water immediately after use
