SikaMix Integral Waterproofer

SikaMix Integral Waterproofer is a liquid gel admixture added to the gauging water when mixing mortar, render, screed or concrete. It works in two ways: as a waterproofer, it dramatically reduces water permeability throughout the full depth of the material for long-term protection against water damage; and as an air entraining plasticiser, it improves workability without flattening the mix, eliminating the need for a separate plasticiser admixture. It will not corrode steel reinforcement such as brick ties. Suitable for external renders and pointing, pool and tank linings, roof areas, mortars and screeds, and as part of a waterproofing system for below-ground structures such as basements. Supplied in 5L jerry cans.

Good to know

• Add to the gauging water at 125–250 ml per 25 kg cement (0.5–1.0 L per 100 kg cement)
• Reduce total gauging water quantity by up to 20% to account for the admixture
• Gauge the mix as stiff as possible to minimise risk of cracking
• For below-ground renders: 3 parts sharp sand to 1 part cement by volume
• For external waterproof renders: 4.5 parts sharp sand to 1 part cement, applied 18–20 mm thick in two coats
• For pool/tank linings: apply 18–20 mm render to walls, 35–38 mm to floors; stagger joints and cove corners; overcoating with an impervious coating or tiling is recommended
• Store between +5°C and +40°C in original sealed containers | Shelf life 2 years
