Natcem Waterstop 5kg

Waterstop is an environmentally friendly, rapid setting water-plug mortar designed to stop leaks in seconds. Once mixed with water, it begins to set in just 90 seconds and is fully set within 2½ minutes at 20°C — making it one of the fastest acting leak-sealing mortars available. Suitable for sealing leaks, stopping water ingress and use in direct contact with potable water, it is DWI Regulation 31 approved (ref: 56/4/1217) and tested to BS 6920 for effect on water quality. Contains no chemical additives, requires only the addition of water, and sets underwater — usable down to 0°C. Can be overcoated within one hour of setting. Supplied in a 5kg tub with no limited shelf life when stored in dry conditions.

Good to know

• Mix ratio: 1 part clean water to 3 parts Waterstop — knead to a putty consistency within one minute
• Yield: 1 x 5kg tub with approximately 1.9 litres of water produces around 2 litres of mortar
• Do not use on frozen or overheated substrates (outside 0°C–30°C range)
• For large leaks, seal in small sections starting from the top and working downwards
• Setting time can be slowed with cold water in hot conditions, or accelerated with warm water in cold conditions
