Description
Description
Newton HydroCoat Tanking Slurry is a high-performance, single-component cementitious coating designed for professional-grade "Type A" waterproofing. Unlike standard slurries, it contains advanced crystallizing and capillary-blocking chemicals. These active agents penetrate deep into the concrete or masonry substrate, reacting with moisture and free lime to seal micro-cracks and capillaries from within. This creates a permanent, mineral-based barrier that becomes an integral part of the structure. It is equally effective when applied to the internal "negative" side or the external "positive" side of a building, making it a go-to solution for challenging below-ground environments.
Benefits
- Provides a 2mm fully waterproof barrier that resists up to 7 bar of water pressure
- Features penetrating crystallizing technology to seal capillaries and developing cracks
- Resists both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure
- WRAS approved, making it safe for use in potable (drinking) water tanks and pools
- Vapour permeable, allowing the structure to "breathe" while remaining watertight
- Highly resistant to salt contamination, which is common in damp masonry
Good to know
- Supplied in 20kg bags or 20kg buckets
- BBA approved and accepted by the NHBC for Grades 1, 2, and 3 environments
- Application rate is approximately 2.8 kg/m² for the required two-coat system
- Can be applied to damp substrates, reducing downtime on active sites
- Cures to a smooth grey finish and can be applied by brush, trowel, or airless spray
