RIW Cementflex | Flexible Cement Based Waterproof Coating

RIW Cementflex is a high-performance, two-component polymer-rich flexible cement based waterproof coating designed for use on concrete and masonry substrates. On curing it forms a durable, highly alkaline, permanently elastomeric membrane that provides total waterproofing while accommodating differential movement and crack activity.

Suitable for internal and external use, Cementflex provides Type A (barrier) protection as classified in BS8102:2009. It can be applied to damp surfaces by hand or spray, making it practical for horizontal, vertical and overhead applications. Cementseal Primer is required for all horizontal applications and on porous surfaces prior to applying Cementflex.

The coating resists up to 100m head of positive and negative water pressure, offers good abrasion and impact resistance, and maintains its flexibility under permanent immersion and external exposure. It also provides enhanced resistance to carbonation, helping protect the integrity of the underlying concrete.

• Subject to normal conditions of use, Cementflex will provide an effective barrier to the transmission of liquid water for the life of the structure.
• J10 cementitious mortar tanking/damp proofing or C42 repairing/renovating/conserving concrete
• Existing substrates and structural elements should be assessed for suitability to withstand any increase in applied loads from water pressure
• Apply only to clean sound substrates, which should be saturated but surface dry and free of back water pressure.
• Care should be taken when curing in hot sunny or windy conditions
• Cementflex is not a decorative finish and may temporarily discolour until uniformly weathered.
