RIW Structureseal is a pre-applied bentonite clay sheet waterproofing composite, comprising high swelling sodium bentonite encapsulated between a non-woven and woven geotextile. A needle-punch process locks the geotextiles through the bentonite, ensuring a consistent, factory-controlled thickness and self-sealing properties throughout the membrane's life.

Description

RIW Structureseal is a Type A pre-applied tanking system conforming to BS8102:2009, suitable for Grade 1, 2 and 3 basement protection. The sodium bentonite clay swells on contact with water, creating a self-sealing barrier that accommodates minor structural movement without loss of waterproofing integrity. No extensive surface preparation is required, and the membrane can be installed in wet weather conditions and at low temperatures, making it well suited to demanding below-ground construction programmes.
