Visqueen Gas Resistant Foil Lap Tape

Visqueen Gas Resistant Foil Lap Tape is a single sided overlap tape, sometimes referred to in the industry as a foil girth tape, consisting of a composite aluminium/PET carrier film coated with a solvent acrylic adhesive protected with a release film. The aluminium/PET composite construction provides gas resistance at lap joints, and the solvent acrylic adhesive is resistant to the alkaline conditions present in cement and concrete, ensuring reliable adhesion in below-ground applications.

The tape provides an overlap seal at lap joints in Visqueen gas protection membranes, reducing the risk of poured concrete entering the lap joint and compromising the integrity of the gas barrier. Used in conjunction with VisqueenPro Double Sided Jointing Tape as part of a complete BBA certified jointing system. Supplied in 75mm x 50m rolls.

• When using Visqueen Gas Resistant Foil Lap Tape, apply the tape equidistant over the lap area of the laid sheet and the overlap adjoining membrane. 
• The membrane should be overlapped by at least 150mm, bonded with Visqueen Pro Double Sided Jointing Tape and sealed with Visqueen Gas Resistant Foil Lap Tape.
