6m Roll-Out Dry Fix Hip Kit

Manthorpe Roll-Out Dry Fix Hip System is a complete mechanically fixed solution for hip tiles, providing a quick, clean and durable alternative to traditional mortar. The system eliminates the risk of cracking, shrinking and weathering associated with mortar, with mechanical fixings that prevent tiles from lifting in high winds and stop driven rain from getting beneath the roofing at the hip junction.

The 6m kit contains all components required for a hip run of approximately 6 metres, excluding hip tiles:

Vent Roll laid along the hip rafter and smoothed over the existing roof tile profile, providing 5,000mm² ventilation to the roofspace, the equivalent of a continuous 5mm gap. Hip Support Trays, secured above the vent roll with screws or nails to provide a straight and level platform for laying tiles along the length of the hip. Union Pieces, used to connect each hip tile, starting from the eaves tile at the base of the hip and working up to the ridge. Mechanical Fixings, lock each hip tile securely into the union piece.

Compatible with most concrete and clay hip tiles including half-round and angled profiles, and suitable for most roof coverings including slate, flat concrete and profiled tiles. UV stabilised. Can be installed in all weather conditions including frost. BS 8612 compliant.
