Ancon PPS Movement Tie with Debonding Sleeve

Ancon PPS Movement Tie is a plain-ended wall tie supplied with a plastic debonding sleeve for use at vertical movement joints in masonry cavity wall construction. Where a movement joint abuts a structural column, the masonry needs to be restrained laterally against wind loads whilst simultaneously being free to expand and contract due to thermal and moisture movement. The PPS achieves this by using a debonded tie, the plain end of the tie sits within the debonding sleeve, allowing longitudinal movement whilst maintaining the lateral restraint connection.

Manufactured from austenitic stainless steel grade 1.4301 (304) for long term corrosion resistance and durability. The debonding sleeve should be installed with a 10mm gap at the end of the sleeve to provide an allowance for masonry expansion. A minimum embedment depth of 100mm is required in both leaves.
