Fosroc Mulseal DP

Fosroc Mulseal DP is a thixotropic bitumen/rubber latex compound with a solids content of 60%, suitable for damp proof membranes to retaining walls, vapour barriers to panels, and repairing fine cracks in asphalt surfaces. Where used as a sandwich membrane in floors, it should be applied with continuity to the damp course, with the final coat blinded with clean sharp sand to provide a key for the second concrete pour.

A minimum of two full coats should be applied. Porous surfaces such as concrete and blockwork must be primed first with a 1:1 dilution of Mulseal DP and water. Metal and timber surfaces must be dry and primed with Fosroc Primer B2 before application. The product is water-based and remains soluble until thoroughly dry, do not apply in rain or if rain is expected, and allow 24 hours between coats. Where reinforcement is required, a layer of bitumen-saturated glass fibre can be bedded into the first full coat before subsequent coats are applied.

Typical applications include as a damp proof membrane to retaining walls, vapour barrier to wall and floor panels, sandwich damp proof membrane in floor slabs and repairing fine cracks in asphalt surfaces
