Fosroc Renderoc Primer | Polymer Cement Slurry Bonding Agent

Fosroc Renderoc Primer is a two component polymer cement slurry bonding primer for use with Fosroc cementitious repair mortars. It develops the bond strength required for the repair material to meet its BS EN 1504-3 classification, and works on a wet on wet basis, with the repair mortar placed while the primer is still wet.

Description

Renderoc Primer is a two component, polymer modified cementitious slurry that prepares concrete substrates to receive Fosroc Renderoc repair mortars. It comprises specially selected cementitious powders and liquid polymer additives which, once mixed, produce a smooth slurry that keys the repair material to the parent concrete. The primer facilitates bond strengths conforming to the classification of the repair material in use, whether Class R2, R3 or R4 to BS EN 1504-3.

It is a wet on wet system, with the repair mortar placed onto the primed surface while the slurry is still wet, so the two develop an integral bond. Renderoc Primer is non-flammable and complies with LU Standard 1-085 Fire Safety Performance of Materials.

Supplied as a two part pack, Renderoc Primer is combined at a fixed ratio of three parts Part A to one part Part B by volume, or four to one by weight, and mixed to a homogeneous slurry before use. It is compatible across the Fosroc Renderoc repair mortar range, making it a single priming solution for concrete reinstatement work. Coverage is approximately 2m² per litre of mixed slurry

Benefits

  • Develops bond strengths matched to the repair mortar's BS EN 1504-3 classification (R2, R3 or R4)
  • Wet on wet system creates an integral bond between primer and repair mortar
  • Compatible across the Fosroc Renderoc cementitious repair range
  • Non-flammable, complying with LU Standard 1-085
  • Economical coverage at approximately 2m² per litre

Good to know

  • Two part pack: Handy Pack 4kg Part A plus 1 litre Part B
  • Substrate should be saturated surface dry before priming. Concrete should be thoroughly soaked with clean water before priming, with any standing surface water removed first
  • Not to be used when temperature is below 5°C and falling
  • Opened bags of Part A should be resealed and used within 14 days
