GCP Bentorub Waterstop

GCP Bentorub+ is a permanently active hydrophilic waterstop system for construction joints in concrete sub-structures. The sodium bentonite clay component swells when in contact with water, filling hairline cracks and voids that develop through concrete shrinkage, maintaining a watertight seal throughout the life of the structure. The highly elastic and plastic properties of Bentorub+ also counterbalance initial concrete shrinkage and can fill small honeycombs.

The built-in delayed expansion prevents the strip from reacting prematurely with rainwater before or during installation, giving contractors confidence in wet working conditions. For high-risk situations, Bentorub+ can be used in combination with Infiltra Stop injection grout for added security. Typical applications; construction joints, cold joints and working joints in in-situ concrete, pipe penetrations through floors and walls, sewer joints and culverts, against slurry walls, steel sheet piling and secant piled walls. Also water treatment plants, reservoirs, swimming pools and underground parking, metro and tunnel works
