Visqueen NF Detailing Strip

Visqueen NF-Detailing Strip is a single sided detailing strip consisting of a white coloured polymer carrier film coated with a grey coloured cold weather butyl adhesive compound protected with a release film. It is the non-foil detailing companion for use with the Visqueen NF gas barrier membrane range including the NF-400, NF-500 and NF-600.

The flexible construction allows the strip to be cut and shaped to suit a wide range of applications and junction geometries, making it suitable for complex junctions, stanchions, patchwork areas and terminations. Unlike the VisqueenPro Detailing Strip which has an aluminium core, the NF-Detailing Strip is a non-foil system, matching the non-foil specification of the NF gas barrier membranes. BBA Agrement certified.

Good to know

• Surfaces must be smooth and free from sharp protrusions, ensure the surface and working area is not water logged and is frost free. When applying to blockwork or brickwork the joints must be flush pointed. Prior to bonding, substrates such as masonry, concrete and steel should be primed using Visqueen HP Tanking Primer and allowed to dry thoroughly
• Hand rollers are required during application. Typical hand rollers include 40mm silicone pressure roller and 6mm brass penny pressure roller.
  
• All lap joints should be a minimum of 150mm and must be pressed and rolled to ensure damp, gas or waterproofing continuity.
• When used for sealing membranes punctures, Visqueen NF-Detailing Strip should be lapped at least 150mm beyond the extents of the puncture.
