Description
Rhinoplast Radon Sump Unit is a sub-floor radon depressurisation sump manufactured from heavy duty polythene by a rotational moulding process. Installed beneath the ground floor slab to collect soil gases including radon and allow safe venting to atmosphere, either passively or via a mechanical fan. Constructed with a solid roof and base and 40mm diameter holes in the walls. 100mm pipe connection spigots provided at each end, blanked off with knock-outs to allow choice of extract pipe direction.

Good to know
- Suitable for passive or mechanical fan extraction
- Before the sump is placed in the permeable hardcore, the ground beneath the floor should be free of topsoil and vegetable matter.
- The sump should be placed as close as possible to the centre of the floor plan of the building.
- One sump is sufficient for approximately 200m2 and for a distance not more than 15m from a sump to the nearest external wall once clean permeable hardcore is used.
