Rhinoplast Evolution HD Gas Barrier

Rhinoplast Evolution HD is the highest specification product in the Rhinoplast gas barrier range — a heavy duty chemically resistant co-extruded multi-layer gas barrier membrane developed using the latest co-extrusion technology. At 0.6mm thick, it consists of fourteen layers including two layers of EVOH gas barrier polymer encased in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer layers. The HDPE construction provides superior robustness and chemical resistance compared to the standard Evolution, making it the specification choice for the most challenging sites contaminated by volatile organic compounds, hydrocarbons and ground gases. Brown in colour. Single wound to provide a flat, even surface. Coverage 50m² per roll at 1.65m x 30.5m.

Designed for loose-laid applications, the Evolution HD is suitable for full line-out installations or in combination with the Evolution Gas DPC. It can be positioned above or below concrete ground floor slabs, above precast suspended segmental ground floor systems such as beam and block floors, or within the ground beneath floor constructions. The system is adaptable with venting layers and can be installed using sealing tapes or fully welded for VOC applications.

Like the standard Evolution, the HD membrane contains no aluminium foil or reinforcement, allowing it to be installed in direct contact with concrete without risk of corrosion. Compliant with BS 8485:2015+A1:2019 and incorporates the performance guidance of CIRIA C748:2014. NHBC Amber 1 and Amber 2 compliant. Follows NHBC Foundation NF94 guidance for Type A, B and C membrane locations. Fully compliant with BR 211:2023. CE marked for waterproofing to EN 13967:2012+A1:2017. Suitable for all characteristic Gas Situation (CS) ground gas regimes. Also provides damp proof membrane protection.
