RIW Aqua Channel Rodding Eye

The RIW Aqua Channel Rodding Eye is installed at strategic points in the perimeter drainage run to allow access for inspection, rodding to clear blockages, and maintenance of the drainage system. Current drainage design guidance and structural waterproofing standards.

Benefits

• Provides maintenance and inspection access to the perimeter drainage system, essential for clearing blockages and verifying system performance
• Required for BS 8102:2009 Type C system compliance, fully maintainable systems are a code requirement
• Part of the complete RIW Aqua Channel drainage system

Good to know

• It is recommended that one of these units is installed at approximately every 12 linear metres along the straight lengths of Aqua Channel
• 40mm hole is cut into the top of the Aqua Channel to enable a straight connector with a removable cap and rubber seal to be solvent welded to a male coupling
• Additional pipework may be added, if required, to suit location of inspection point.
