RIW Cementseal | Tough Cement Based Waterproof Coating

RIW Cementseal is a two-component polymer modified cement based waterproof coating delivering tough, reliable protection to concrete and masonry substrates. On curing it forms a durable, highly alkaline, seamless coating that acts as a sealer, protecting against water penetration and carbon dioxide diffusion.

Suitable for internal and external use, Cementseal provides Type A (barrier) protection as classified in BS8102:2009. It can be applied to damp surfaces by hand or spray across horizontal, vertical and overhead applications. Cementseal Primer is required for all horizontal applications and on porous surfaces prior to application.

The coating resists up to 100m head of positive and negative water pressure, offers abrasion and impact resistance, and carries enhanced carbonation resistance to protect the long-term integrity of the substrate.

Good to know

• J10 – Cementitious mortar tanking/damp proofing in accordance with NBS Clauses.
• Compressive strength 1 day is 3-7 N/mm² 7 days 20-30N/mm² and 28 days 40-45 N/mm²
• Temporary waterproofing can be achieved if applied 1mm thick in one coat
• Existing substrates and structural elements should be assessed for suitability to withstand any increase in applied loads from water pressure
• Apply only to clean, sound substrates which should be saturated but surface-dry and free of back water pressure
• Care should be taken when curing in hot, sunny or windy conditions
• Cementseal is not a decorative finish and may temporarily discolour until uniformly weathered
• Application temperature 5-35°C
