RIW Sealing Compound

RIW Sealing Compound is a trowel-grade sodium bentonite/butyl-rubber based sealant formulated specifically as a detailing accessory for the RIW Structureseal below-ground waterproofing system. Its sodium bentonite content means it swells upon contact with water, creating a tight seal against water intrusion that is self-activating in wet or damp conditions.

With the consistency of thick grease, Sealing Compound is straightforward to apply by trowel and bonds readily to most materials including structural concrete, masonry and most metal surfaces. It is designed to complement the Structureseal sheet membrane, addressing the critical details and transitions that the main membrane cannot always cover directly.
