Sikalastic-6100 FX (formerly MSeal 6100FX)

Sikalastic-6100 FX is a one-component, cement based, elastic and flexible lightweight membrane for waterproofing and concrete protection. Supplied as a powder and mixed with water on site, it develops a fluid consistency that can be worked into the substrate by brush or trowel, or sprayed, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications across a wide range of water retaining and below-ground structures.

Its lightweight formulation gives a low density and low consumption, providing high yield per bag, while retaining high elastic properties down to -10°C for reliable crack bridging. The membrane is waterproof at 2mm thickness, resisting up to 5 bar of positive water pressure, and remains breathable and vapour permeable once cured. It offers high resistance to carbon dioxide diffusion, protecting embedded reinforcement from carbonation-induced corrosion, and is sulphate resistant. It cures rapidly, allowing tanks to be filled and mechanical loads to be applied after only three days, and produces no ammonia smell so it can be used in closed spaces. Available in light grey and white, with UV resistance suiting it to exposed final coatings, it also carries WRAS approval for contact with drinking water.
