Single Flange Thermal Cavity Closer

Manthorpe Single Flange Thermal Cavity Closer G242 is a lightweight thermally efficient cavity closer with a single flange design, developed for use around timber door and window frames in cavity wall construction. The single flange configuration suits applications where a double flange is not required or practical, particularly around timber frame openings.

The G242 has a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK, providing effective insulation at the cavity closure and helping to minimise heat loss and cold bridging at window and door openings.

A key feature of the G242 is its tested performance as part of a complete cavity barrier detail. When installed as a whole detail including timber window or door frames and plasterboard lining, it can be used to satisfy the requirements of a cavity barrier as described in Approved Document B of the Building Regulations — an important compliance consideration for residential and commercial construction.
