Tekcem Tekprime

Tekcem Tekprime is an advanced high solids primer designed to stabilise, seal and prepare substrates prior to the application of screeds, levelling compounds, smoothing compounds and adhesives. It enhances adhesion between substrate and overlayment, reduces surface porosity to maintain workability, and prevents air bubbles forming pinholes in applied levelling layers. Water-based, easy to apply by squeegee or roller, and dry in approximately 1–2 hours at 20°C. Suitable for concrete, cement and calcium sulphate based screeds, asphalt, ceramic, quarry and stone tiles, plywood, chipboard and floorboards. Available in 5 litre and 25 litre containers.

Good to know

• Dilution ratios vary by substrate — refer to the primer dilution table in the datasheet before use
• Coverage per 5 litres: approximately 85m² at 1:1 dilution, 128m² at 1:2, and 170m² at 1:3
• Minimum time between coats: 12 hours; maximum overlay time: 24 hours
• Apply at floor temperatures between 5–30°C with ambient relative humidity below 75%
• Sub-floors directly to earth must have a DPM installed prior to priming
• Shelf life: 12 months in sealed containers stored in cool, dry conditions
