Tekcem UFH Door Joints

Tekcem UFH Door Joints are vertical expansion and contraction strips designed for forming joints across doorways in underfloor heating screed installations. Providing both a thermal break between two heated zones and the expansion and contraction accommodation required by a heated screed, they help reduce the risk of cracking at doorways — one of the most vulnerable points in any UFH floor system. Supplied in 900mm strips with a peel-off self-adhesive base, a single strip is usually sufficient for one doorway, and each strip can be easily cut to allow routes for conduits or underfloor heating pipes where required. At just 10mm thick, the joint sits neatly beneath a standard threshold strip once installation is complete. Available in three heights — 30mm, 60mm and 80mm — to suit different screed thicknesses, and supplied in boxes of 10 lengths.

Good to know

• Supplied in boxes of 10 lengths (each 900mm) across all three height options
• When forming a day joint, it may be necessary to temporarily back the joint with sand or timber to support the screed while it is laid to the opposite face
