Visqueen Self Adhesive Tanking Membrane

Visqueen Self Adhesive Tanking Membrane is a Type A barrier membrane for basements, retaining walls, lift pits and other structures that need protection from ground water. It is a 1.5mm modified bitumen rubber sheet. The self adhesive coating on the underside is protected by a removable release film, so it is applied cold with no heat or torching.

The membrane bonds to concrete, flush pointed blockwork and brickwork, particle boards and steelwork. It works in both vertical and horizontal applications. Laps bond to themselves, so no jointing tapes are needed. It is BBA certified and can form one part of a waterproofing design to Grades 1, 2 and 3 under BS 8102:2022. It also meets the requirements of BR 211:2023 for radon protection and doubles as a damp proof membrane, so one product covers several jobs.

• Not the same product as Visqueen Self Adhesive Fully Bonded Vapour Barrier, which is an air and vapour control layer and not a tanking membrane
