Visqueen Top Hat Units

Visqueen Top Hat Units are rigid black polyethylene units supplied with a metal jubilee clip, designed to provide an airtight and damp proof seal around service pipe penetrations through gas barrier and damp proof membranes. The membrane is dressed up and over the top hat unit and secured with the jubilee clip to form a continuous seal around the pipe, maintaining the integrity of the gas or moisture barrier at the penetration point.

Good to know

• 110mm, 135mm and 160mm, relates to the external diameter of the pipe
• Bond the Visqueen Top Hat Unit to both the pipe and the membrane with VisqueenPro Double Sided Jointing Tape.
• Seal the top hat laps to the pipe and membrane with VisqueenPro Single Sided Tape, Complete the installation by fixing the supplied jubilee clip around the top hat upstand.
• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from contamination such as dust or sand. Avoid areas of unsupported jointing.
